The Chairperson of the Board appoints one Commissioner representative to serve on this Board for a one year term The Convention & Visitors Bureau was organized to solicit, promote and encourage convention and tourist business to marshall and adopt community resources, to promote encourage and develop tourism for the County of Ingham and to serve visitors to the community. Ingham County contributes funds for Greater Lansing Convention & Visitors Bureau services from local hotel room rental revenues collected through the hotel/motel tax.
